The Horror House

The room looks like a mess But I couldn't care less The t.v is beaming Throughout the rotting ceiling A harmless display? A treat for the eye? Perhaps, but be aware For appearances lie I looked in the draws And witnessed old rusty saws The room looked poor Pieces of the ceiling covers the floor                                                                                     Pieces of the wall has being tore                                                                                               The bed is covered In pieces from the wall It smells like trash It also smells like a man that had no shower year after year It feels like i’m in a monster's lair I can see a cool t.v but it doesn't work The roof and floor needs to be clean without a smirk It looks like a dump area The bed felt like someone wet the bed “What happened?”, as I said I can smell rat poo I can also see a rotten shoe I can hear rats running around I can also hear a awful sound I can feel something crawling up my arm As it makes its way  i feel really mun This room is dirty and also it’s awful and needs more cleaning The floors are Beaming and the roof is screaming It smells like Garbage so much carnage need more varnish So the wooden floors won’t tarnish It looks like trash that has been smashed and clashed When i walk in the room the room gave way then i walked away so i could go to the cafe instead of going the hard way

“YES” it's term 4 we had immersion assembly on the first day at school. when I went into the hall and I can see the kid’s and the teacher's. And I saw Mr Burt standing at the front of the hall. I hear the kid’s doing lots of noise. And I can smell fresh air.    

When we went to assembly the first item was the fiapoko parrot - this was presented by Mr Burt. Mr Burt one was about a fiapoko parrot. The parrot was being annoying to the kid’s when tried to eat there food. And they try to read the bible but the fiapoko parrot was being annoying.      

The 2nd item was team 1 It was very cool - they had a  karaoke and a super neat movie of a zoo visit. The next one was team 2.  team 2 was learning about dinosaurs. And then it was team 3 they were learning about disco dinosaur. They were going to learn how to make there own dinosaurs.

The items were going good and then it was team 4 it was cool it was funny. It had some student in the item. In the item it was Desmond, Adam, Revival and to more student. And then the next item was team 5. They were learning about how to adapt eating with chopstick. A good reason is Miss Hockly she’s American and she had to live in China and she had to adapted how to use chopstick.

The best one was team 5. It was cool because it was funny they had a chopstick eating nodes caleg. The nodes had no flavor and Mr Wiseman was the hosde. And the then the item over and they came out. And they had superhero.

I have be reading about 'Any old iron'. It is about Jeff Thomsons art, He makes his art out of corrugated iron. I made a volcano out of rocks and flax. I made a volcano because Auckland is full of volcanos and I live here. I used rocks and flax because they are natural like the volcano.  

School Holiday Basketball tournament

I woke up on the last Sunday of the holidays all excited because I was playing in a basketball tournament at the ASB stadium. My team is called

The tournament went the whole day. It was tiring. Some of the teams we played were, Otara Oats and East Dragons.We played 6 games during the day, we won 4 and lost 2. There were some really good players.

Tamaki Tornadoes U/11’s made it to the semi finals. We played hard. I scored a goal because Stevenson passed me the ball when I was free. I put up the shot and it went in. At the end of the game we had won, the score was 10-9 to us. Woohoo we were in the FINAL!!!!!

The team we were supposed to play in the final had already gone home so we played a different team. I felt really happy we didn’t have to play them because they could shoot 3 pointers. The team we played instead beat us but we all had fun.

After the tournament I went to Judah’s house because when they dropped me off there was no one at home. Judah and I played games on the X-Box 360 until it was time to have dinner.  We had pizza and it was yummy as.  I had heaps of fun at the tournament and at Judah’s house.

Creative Spring Writing

Today in class we have been doing creative writing. We had to write a sentence about this picture. As a class we chose the sentence we liked to best and then added to it. Here is my sentence and the sentence I added to.

In the sunny day I saw the bright light and it saw me.  

Under a tree, kicked back by the beach from a view, chill going down your spine, the bright sun light on you.

Continents.

Did you know there are 7 continents (landmasses). They are Asia, Africa, North America, South America, Antarctica, Europe and Australia. Each continent is made up of lots of different countries. The biggest continent is Asia.

The continent I am looking at is Asia. I know it has the biggest landmass of all the continents. Some of the countries in this continent are India, China, Mongolia, Japan and Nepal.

Use my Brain, Use my Heart, I'm going to be Cybersmart.

For part of our writing we had to explain what Use my brain, use my heart, I'm going to be Cybersmart means to me.

Use my brain, use my heart, I’m going cyber smart was made up Mr Burt to share at an assembly. It was the korero for the week. The korero was to help us remember to do the right thing on our netbooks!!

Use my Brain means to have self-control when I’m working on my netbook. If l am on the wrong thing then l need to use my brain and stop doing it and close the tab before I get in trouble.

Use my Heart is when I can feel my heart beating faster because I’m on the wrong thing on my netbook.  It starts beating faster because I’m scared of getting caught and being put on detention or get my netbook taken off me and put away.

I’m going to be Cybersmart is when you have a bad Email sent to you. You have to take a screenshot of the email then send it to 3 teachers including Mr Burt. After you have done that then you can delete it from your email.  

Boxing.

For writing we had to pick a sport from the Commonwealth Games and find out some information about it. I picked Boxing, here is what I found out.

What is Boxing?

Boxing is a sport that has 2 people trying to punch each other with gloves on their hands. It shows strength, speed and how fit someone is.

Equipment.

The equipment you need is boxing gloves for each person, a boxing ring, mouth guard, boxing shorts, shoes, a referee and a trainer.

How do you win.

To win a boxing match you must knock your opponent out or you can win by getting the most points. To get the most points you have to land lots of punches and hardly miss.

Wild and Wacky

I have been reading about a man called Fraser Williamson who is an artist. He draws pictures for the School Journals that we read in class. We had to look at the picture and describe some things in it.  Here is what I saw.

I see a spotted dog on a bridge sliding along like penguin. I also see a blue man riding a blue horse with fire on his back.

For reading my group read a book called Making the Team. It is about a girl who was not fit enough to make the rugby team for school.  This is my advice column to give her some tips to get fitter.

Fast Feet.

Fast feet is about a boy coll Esela. And his mum brought him some new shoes. His friend Solomona said at the labelled on shoes will make him faster.   

The world war 1.

This morning at school we had an assembly. I thought it was funny because it wasn't Friday. Mr Burt and Mr J were telling us about World War 1. It happened 100 years ago today. We saw some videos of  soldiers going to war, and some pictures of what the place looked like where they were fighting. There was lots of mud and no trees r grass. We saw  a photo of Mr Burt’s and Mrs Flavell’s Grandads who went to the war.  

When the assembly was almost finished we watched the flag in our school get raised, there was a bugle playing the Last Post when it was going up and then they took it down to half way. We had to leave assembly quietly and not make noise so we could remember all the people who died in World War 1. 


I have been searching about the world war 1 I hope you like. In 1914 the world war 1 began it started on  28 of July and went until the 11 of November in 1918. There were more than 9 million fighters that were killed in the war. About 100,000 New Zealanders served in the World War 1.
