Aladdin.

A long time ago there was a boy called Aladdin. He lives with his widow mother and they live in a small village in China.They had no much money to buy some food. They are very poor and life was hard. One day a strange man came searching for Aladdin. He claimed to be his father’s brother a long lost uncle. He asked him to see his mother “Can you take me to your mother?” He said. After they saw his mother he needed Aladdin’s help. He wanted Aladdin to climb down a hole for a rusty old lamp in a cave in the hillside. When Aladdin climbed down the hole he was astonished to find a cave full of treasure, gold, sapphires, rubies, pearls, diamonds and jewels. When Aladdin found the lamp he went back up the stairs and the uncle said “Give me the lamp” “No” said Aladdin “Get me out” “You can stay down there forever.” Then he covered up the hole and Aladdin was unable to get out.

Esther.

Today in C.R.E Mrs Clarke told us a story about Esther. In our story there was king and a queen. the king named is Xerxes and the named is Vashti. The king banished queen Vashti and needed a new queen. we a learning to be and do the best we can. We can do this by been the best me.

cross country.

On Thursday 22nd August Pt England School had their cross country. Everyone was really excited. Lots of people dressed in their house colours. I am in Tainui and my house colour is blue. After lunch Room 13 lined up outside the classroom and went to the hard courts to get ready for cross country. It was so hot it was like we were getting baked by the sun. I was racing in the 9 year old boys race we were running 1.5 kms around the school field and the reserve. We had to wait a long time before it was our turn to race. The 5 year old boys were the first race. Suddenly it was my turn. I had butterflies in my stomach as I waited nervously for Mr Burt to start the race. The siren went and I took off down the field. When I got out to the reserve I started slipping in the mud. I kept running but I was getting tired. “Yes I’m nearly finished!” I said to myself. Finally I crossed the finish line as everyone was shouting and cheering. When I had finished my race I went and go a drink of water from the drink station. Miss Williamson and Mrs Flavell were in charge of the water station, I said “Thank you very much.” I went and sat back on the courts but this time I sat in the shade by the wall to help cool me down. I felt proud of myself that I had finished my race and didn’t come last. I hopeI will do better next

Today in C.R.E we learn about loving your enemy. I find it hard to love people when they…a angry. I find it easy to love people when they..a not angry.

The ugly ducking

Once upon a time, a mother duck was sitting on her nest of eggs for days. All the ducklings came out except one, it was the biggest egg of all. When the egg hatched out came a ugly duckling. Mother Duck saw that it was a different and the other ducklings told it to go away and that it was ugly. The ugly duckling found a new home in a farm. He wanted to make friends with him but they told him to go away. The ugly duckling looked at sky birds flying and he wanted to be just like them. They were and nobody withem.
